The Whiskey Room is what you might call a boys fort for grown-ups. Serving a variety of over 50 different whiskeys, bourbons and scotches, it’s a dream come true for today’s modern man. Conveniently located on the 2nd floor of The Modern Man Barber Shop, you can come in for a high & tight and an Old Fashioned pairing or skip the primping altogether and just head upstairs for a whiskey flight and a ploughman’s lunch.
As featured on Thrillist.com, The Whiskey Room is adorned with taxidermy trophies, bear pelts, antique six shooters and a 10 foot projection screen for black and white silent films, Timbers’ games and pay-per-view events. You won’t find any “Appletinis” here, the cocktails offered are traditional, simple and unpretentious. Enjoy a classic Manhattan, Whiskey Sour, Old Fashioned or a Scotch and Soda, but if you come looking for an AMF or a Tokyo Tea you just might find yourself at the wrong end of the bartender’s mustache if you know what we mean! Oh and don’t forget to try an import from the generous selection of cigars from the humidor!
The Whiskey Room is also available for private parties of 12 or more (groomsman parties, bachelor parties, birthday parties, mixers, office parties etc). NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED to reserve the space for an evening at this point and time. The space is small and cozy, warm and inviting. Ladies and gentlemen are always welcome. Troublemakers need not enter and will be escorted out promptly. The Whiskey Room is a safe environment for everyone!

“The Modern Man’s unmarked upstairs annex is called the Whiskey Room, and it looks like Teddy Roosevelt’s living room might’ve, if TR was really into the Blazers, local microbrews, and Blitzen Trapper.”
“They [The Modern Man] just opened up a full bar on the upper floor that is just about the most awesome homemade man-cave ever constructed. Did you ever build a fort out in the woods when you were a kid? If so, remember how you wanted to make it the most manly hang-out ever? It would be filled with animal pelts and guns and every kind of macho embellishment–if you could get your hands on such things. Well, The Modern Man has created the Holy Grail of that boyhood dream, and then some.”
